We’ve all heard about Kim and Kanye’s wedding – the worlds most talked about wedding – in recent days, but in our books Kim and Warwick’s wedding is the one that is worthy of the spotlight!
Rather than Florence in Italy, Kim and Warwick chose the wonderful setting of Spicers Clovelly Estate in Montville, and everyone was in for a treat!
A few days prior to the wedding, when I drove up to scout for some great photo spots and get a feel for the place, I was overcome with an intense feeling of peace and calm.
It could be the mountain air, the rolling hills, or perhaps the gently twisting driveway that leads to this sweet and romantic French-inspired venue. But there is definitely something magical about this place.
Kim and Warwick were such a pleasure to photograph. Their genuine sweetness, fun-loving personalities and quietly emotional appreciation of all that was happening around them held me and all their guests captivated.
Their ceremony was held in Nambour, at St Joseph’s Catholic Church, which provided a wonderful soft and natural light, and was just perfect for the warm and uplifting feeling of the service.
Felicity, the wedding coordinator at Spicers Clovelly Estate was amazing to work with! So on-the-ball with everything, she exuded an air of experience and calm that felt so fitting for the venue and location.
There was no Andrea Bocelli, though I’m sure we would have found him a seat had he been, and no half-tonne marble statues had to be moved at the last minute, but there was an amazing cake and the warm glow of sparklers which the guests held and surrounded our newly-weds with was symbolic of a bright and unwavering hope for an amazing future together, which we all wish them.
