Amelia and Daniel met in primary school when their families formed a close friendship. However, it wasn’t until high school that their journey together began.

“Daniel proposed on our 9-year anniversary at Tokoriki island in Fiji.”

A couple’s massage at the resort spa was followed by a surprise private-dining experience at their ocean front villa. The villa was decorated with rose petals and lanterns, and while a Fijian band played their ukuleles, Daniel got down on one knee and asked Amelia to be his wife.

The Wedding Gown

Brad Webb from Darb Bridal Couture designed a custom-made silk organza princess gown! The bodice was a traditional Dior-inspired strapless bodice covered entirely with beadwork that cascaded onto the voluminous skirt, completed with a silk bow at the waist. The skirt itself featured a 3-metre train, which was the main attraction of the gown! Every element was hand-made to perfection and Amelia could not have been happier with the result.

Theming and Styling

Daniela from Pink & Purple Petals helped create a modern, yet elegant style for their Wedding Day. She filled the room with eye-catching elements such as a 27-globe chandelier, a double draped organza backdrop behind the bridal table, loads of candle lighting (at least 80 candles) Amelia’s mother’s 12 tall silver candelabras for the guest tables and vintage crystal glassware. Amelia and Dan chose clear glass charger plates with silver-edge beading, and silver tiffany chairs. Although Amelia’s FAVOURITE aspect of the décor was the arrival foyer where Daniela created this magical-lit curtain draped walkway with clusters of candles, candelabras and rose-petals scattered everywhere. It was 40-metres long of romantic perfection!

Asking Kwintowski Photography to photograph our wedding was an easy choice! We’d seen their work before and knew that they had the talent to capture exactly what we were looking for! On the big day, we hardly noticed their presence yet they captured every magical moment. We will be forever grateful for these amazing memories.
