Jo & Jason

22-Sep-2012

Beaumont Beach House Byron Bay

One of the things I love about photographing weddings at Byron Bay (apart form the obvious fact that the place is gorgeous) is that we always head down the night before the wedding. We do this in case of roadworks and to check our planned locations in the right light – i.e., the same time of day we plan to shoot the next day. We also have to check that Asia Jo’s still make a mean Pad Thai and that the Beach Hotel is still serving cold beer and tastey nachos. And in case you’re wondering, we’ve given it all the green light.

Jo and Jason had their wedding at Beaumont’s Beach House overlooking the Pacific Ocean – it was stunning!

As Jo and Jas were saying their vowels the clouds that had been threatening all morning, cleared away to reveal a blue sky with gorgeous sun! And as if we ordered it especially, the clouds came back while we were taking photos at the lighthouse and provided the most splendid backdrop. It was incredible to watch the storm coming in. We were watching what seemed like a curtain of rain nearing us and it was traveling quite quickly. In fact, within moments of us getting back into the cars, the skies opened up and it poured down like crazy! It was amazing!!

We wanted to thank you guys for letting us be a part of your wedding day – it was one of those days that we will never forget!
