Grace and Vincent’s Brisbane Marriott wedding was intense.
We were expecting quite a big day, with an early start, but what we witness was an all encompassing celebration of family, traditions – of course – of love.
After making it through the gauntlet of spicy treats and slinky underwear, Vincent negotiated safe passage to collect his beautiful bride, Grace, who was waiting for him in the West Wing tower of her family home.
Two tea ceremonies, two lots of guest and family entertaining – including the consumption of two sets of delicious treats and two relocations later we were catching our breaths, collecting our thoughts (and downloading our cards) in what was a very brief intermission.
Before we knew it, the second half of Vincent and Grace’s wedding was about to unfold.
A beautiful ceremony at Brisbane’s own, breathtaking, St John’s Cathedral took place amid tears and sighs from overwhelmed family and friends. Even though he had already seen her earlier that day, Vincent was clearly taken back as Grace made her way down the aisle and couldn’t keep his eyes off her for the rest of the day.
After the ceremony we “shuffled” our way through the heart of Brisbane, passing important landmarks on Queen St Mall, like the Chanel and Luis Vuitton department stores.
A tour of South Bank and the Chinese Valley Moon Lantern Festival ensued before we directed our bearings for the prestigious Marriott Hotel located on the Brisbane River.
By the way, Marriott staff were on hand to ensure that no glass was left empty and no guest left eating with their eye’s only.
Beautiful and heartfelt speeches culminated with an ardent poem written by Grace’s father and after Grace and Vincent made their delivery (with equal dashes of tears and laughter), the “Green Light” was given for the dancing to take full swing. Especially when halfway through their waltz, along with their bridal party, Grace and Vincent fluidly transitioned into a meticulously choreographed rendition of LMFAO’s – Part Rock Anthem.
It was an amazing day and an amazing wedding and we thank you, Mr and Mrs Lim, for choosing us to be your Wedding Photographers.
Some people we’d like to thank for their amazing work on or before the day…
